Red Lobster

Back in May of 2024, Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which also closed 99 restaurants nationwide. A couple locations here in the state of Michigan were apart of that list.

Bobcat Bonnie’s

A Michigan-based gastropub chain, which had shuttered its Ypsilanti and Partridge Creek locations in 2024.The closures followed employee allegations of bounced paychecks and poor management practices.

Hardee’s

Michigan currently has 15 Hardee's locations. There are no indications publically from the company that any are in danger, however, it follows a pattern other big giants have been going down.

Taco John’s

After coming into Michigan in 2023, Taco John’s abruptly closed all five of its locations in the state by late 2024. They do have plans to return at some point, with a new concept.

Bagger Dave’s

Once a big Michigan-based burger chain, Bagger Dave’s reduced its presence significantly.In early 2024, the company announced plans to rebrand its remaining locations.By February 2025, the Chesterfield location closed, leaving only five in the state.
