DEHP has been known to cause inflammation in arteries, which leads to a higher risk of heart attacks and strokes. Back in 2018, over 356,000 deaths world-wide were attributed to some form of heart disease.
The study also found that, this specific plastic agent, was responsible for 13% of all hear-related deaths in the age group of 55-64.
