Michigan Central Station Hosting A Haunted Halloween Drive Thru

Everyone is adapting during the pandemic, including the popular Haunted House at Ford's Michigan Central Station.

In 2018 Ford announced that they would be turning the first floor of Michigan Central Station into a haunted house. It was insanely popular and tickets sold out within minutes of going on sale. The event was so well received that it was planned to become a regular fundraiser for the community. This year though, thanks to the pandemic, Ford is shifting gears.

Michigan Central Halloween Lights is happening for two nights only on Friday October 30th and Saturday October 31st. The event is free for anyone who would like to drive by between 5p and 9p on the dates.

Glowing ghosts and spooky goblins are out to light up Michigan Central Station. Cruise by to see a spectacular light show from the safety of your vehicle. Begin your spooky ride on Vernor Highway starting at 5 pm

Obviously this will pale in comparison to the normal haunted house that has been put on at Michigan Central Station, but that's what 2020 has been all about.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but this has been a bummer of a Halloween season. I'm glad that most of the haunted houses have found ways to open up under safety guidelines, but the normal community events have all been changed. Normally our family takes a trip to Crossroads Village for Halloween, but this year it also has been turned into a drive thru event.

I understand that all of the changes are necessary, but for anyone that loves spooky season, it's still a bummer.
