Sean Hart says he filed a complaint with the city following the incident early Sunday during the disturbances downtown. The video of Hart getting intensely pepper sprayed by a Grand Rapids police officer, and then shot by a flash-bang tear gas canister at point blank range.

Hart told WOOD-TV 8 that the canister did not cause mach damage, having hit him in the shoulder, not the head as many believed.

He admitted he was blaring some 'music the police probably wouldn't like' shortly before the incident.

He added that he doubts the inquiry into the incident will result in any action, saying 'I don't see what good it's gonna do, as it Grand Rapids investigating Grand Rapids.'
