Michigan companies (and more) are stepping up and adjusting what they do to help in the fight against Covid-19.

We told you last week about MacDonald Middle School in East Lansing (and now many others) that are using their 3-D printers to help manufacture face masks.

Ford Motor Company, in collaboration with GE Healthcare, announced today (March 30th) it will begin producing in Michigan a third-party ventilator with the goal to produce 50,000 of the vitally needed units within 100 days and up to 30,000 a month thereafter as needed.(Ford)

And in the video above, Ford Motor Company is making disposable respirator masks and medical face shields using 3D printing at its Advanced Manufacturing Center in Redford, Michigan, in response to a nationwide call for more medical equipment to help fight the coronavirus outbreak. (Reuters)

Chaco’s Michigan-based factory is typically used to repair and customize the brand’s sandals. As the number of coronavirus cases rises in the state, the Wolverine World Wide outdoor label is now producing face masks and other critical equipment for health-care workers. (Footwear news)
