Lil Nas X has ridden 'til he can't no more, for now.

On Friday (Sept. 27), the "Old Town Road" rapper shared news with fans that he would be taking some time off and not performing at two previously scheduled upcoming show dates.

"It’s been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off," he typed on Twitter. "Sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, i will not be there. i love u guys and will make it up to you some way."

The 2019 Sandbox Festival in Mesa, Ariz. is set to take place on Sunday (Sept. 29). TwitchCon is going on in San Diego, Calif., Sept. 27-29. Nas was scheduled to perform on Saturday (Sept. 28) at the event. He did not specify how long he would be on hiatus.

The Georgia rapper has been going strong for the past several months after his single "Old Town Road (Remix)" featuring Billy Ray Cyrus became a smash hit. It's been a whirlwind ride for the rapper who won Song of the Year at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, broke the record for the longest-running No. 1 single and is now partying buddies with billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Nas X, who has yet to embark on a national tour, released his debut EP, 7, in June, which featured the follow-up single "Panini." Most recently, he put out the "Panini (Remix)" featuring DaBaby and hinted there were more to come.
