How big of a Marvel fan am I? I'm seriously considering paying $500 for a replica Captain America shield. I left my ex in Alaska and I really want to go back ... for my comics. And I truly feel that you need a really good bad guy in a cape to make a hero shine.

So you can imagine how excited I was to learn about the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit at The Henry Ford. Now, there's something for everyone, whether you're new to Marvel comics or more on the level of "I've got original issues of comics wrapped in Mylar."

There's history that you learn in the first 5 minutes about how Marvel came to be and about the legends that were both Stan Lee AND Jack Kirby. You get comics, costumes from movies and TV shows. You can pose and take pictures with The Thing from the Fantastic 4, Black Panther, and even Spidey.

You ever wonder how big The Hulk would be if you stood next to him? They have that.

I was surprised they did Daredevil. And I really liked that he was right there with Punisher and that cool Ghostrider print. DOCTOR STRANGE was dope and trippy. Definitely stood out. And the Iron Man armors side by side. Oh, the Green Goblin mask and pumpkin bombs were dope, too! I really liked everything and can't encourage you strongly enough to start planning your trip NOW.

In the meantime, here's a look at my Marvel experience:
