Kia is having a massive recall of about 500,000 vehicles because the air bags may not work in a crash. The recall is related to a federal investigation into the air bag and its failures. Apparently the failures are also related to 4 deaths so this Kia and partner Hyundai are trying to combat this before problems arise.

The Vehicles covered by the recall include 2010 through 2013 Forte compact cars and 2011 through 2013 Optima midsize cars. Also covered are Optima Hybrid and Sedona minivans from 2011 and 2012.

You can read more about the recall here. Also Kia and Hyundai are working on a remedy but one might not be done until the end of the year.
