Two months removed from turning Coachella into a revival, Kanye West has returned with another musical reinvention for his Sunday Service series. This time, he transforms some material from grunge legends.

On Sunday (July 28), footage of Kanye West's Sunday Service choir performing worship versions of a couple of Nirvana classics made its way to the web and the renditions sound dope.

"Hurry up, the choice is yours, don't be late/Just confess, he'll do the rest/Christ is here, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah," the choir sings in the Christian version of Nirvana's "Come as You Are."

For the second song, Yeezy's choir delivers a clever reimagining of the group's breakout single "Smells Like Teen Spirit." "Halle, halle, halle, hallelujah/When the light shines, it's contagious/Here we are now, inspiration," the choir sings.

Kanye's Sunday Service may end up turning into something bigger. Back in April, reports started surfacing that Yeezy was thinking of starting his own church.

“He has talked about starting his own church, and what exactly that would be,” said a source close to the situation. “It wouldn’t be the traditional, three-hymns-and-a-sermon thing. Instead, it would be a way to point people to Jesus through the arts and through a community of people who love and care for each other. He also wants his kids to be raised in faith, and the best way for him to do that is to live out his faith.”

As for now, we wait on his new Yandhi album and a hopefully the announcement of a new tour.
