The Michigan Lottery is on pace to make dozens of new millionaires in 2024, with at least eleven across the state so far.

The national Mega Millions and Powerball lotteries have driven some of the winnings, along with a variety of scratchers and other in-store or online games.

Locations that have sold tickets worth $1 million or more are scattered throughout the state, with several concentrated around Michigan's population center (the Detroit area). At least one Michigan Lottery ticket worth more than a million dollars was sold in the Upper Peninsula.

Michigan's Biggest Lottery Winners in 2024 (So Far)

Michigan scored big on the very first day of the year with a Powerball ticket worth $842.4 million sold at a store in Grand Blanc. According to officials with Powerball, the jackpot was the 5th largest in the game's history, and the 10th biggest lottery jackpot all-time in the United States! It stands as the 2nd largest lottery jackpot ever won in Michigan, following a $1.05 billion Mega Millions winning ticket sold at a Kroger in Novi in January of 2021.
