There's been a sudden shake-up in the Lansing restaurant scene.
If you've been to Frandor recently, you might have noticed that the Chinese restaurant Apple Jade has permanently closed.
Apple Jade Officially Closes in Frandor
At first, Apple Jade appeared to be closed for renovations, according to its website. It ended up being closed for approximately two months for those renovations.

News has also spread to the Lansing Foodies Facebook group, and many patrons are sad to see it go.
What’s Replacing Apple Jade?
There is a silver lining on this horizon, which is that a new business will be opening there soon: Sunrise Chinese Food Sushi restaurant.
The signage for the new restaurant is already up.

There's no exact opening date yet, just a sign on the door that reads "opening soon". The sign on the door lets us know some other things about the restaurant too, like the fact that it's under new ownership and they're hiring — a sushi chef, a waiter, and kitchen staff.
More Restaurant Changes in Frandor
This isn't the only change that's happened recently to the Lansing restaurant scene. Specifically in the Frandor area, we've seen the opening of Bubbakoo's Burritos and the area's first Shake Shack. Plus, we'll soon see a Wing Stop and a Smoothie King added to that area as well.
