Lansing's Capital Region International Airport (LAN) just made an announcement that Mid-Michigan travelers will love: United Airlines is officially returning with service out of Lansing.

When United Flights Begin at LAN

Beginning May 7, 2026, United will offer nonstop flights from Lansing to Chicago O'Hare (ORD). Not "one flight if the stars align." Four daily nonstop flights. Morning, midday, and evening. Tickets go on sale January 29, which means the era of aggressively refreshing your flight app is almost here.

Why Chicago O’Hare Matters for Lansing Travelers

Why does this matter? Because Chicago O'Hare is basically the airport doorstep that leads to all other airports. One hop from Lansing now connects Mid-Michigan travelers to United's massive global network.
