It Was Woman from Grand Rapids Whose Cincinnati Zoo Video Went Viral

A local connection to the tragic situation at the Cincinatti Zoo, where a gorilla named Harambe was shot and killed after a child fell into the enclosure; the video that the media has shown and that has made the internet rounds was recorded by a Grand Rapids woman that was visiting family in Ohio.

Kim O'Connor told WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids that some parts of the video were "too horrific" to show.

Meanwhile, in a new statement, the family of the boy is encouraging the public to donate to the zoo, in honor of Harambe, a tweet by WLWT reporter, Dan Griffin, shows.
