I remember when I was in school, and every other year or so a new student and or students would join our class, that had previously been home schooled. I remember finding that concept so odd, I don't anymore.

In case you don't know me, I should preface that I do not have kids. If you do know me, than you know it's a good thing that I don't. I do however, have nieces and nephews that have always attended public schools, and still do. That being said, I don't know how comfortable I am with the idea of them returning to school at the end of summer.

It's not my decision if my nieces and nephews go back. I have talked to my sisters about it, and right now they are undecided. I get that, there is still time, and hope that things will be better by then. It is just weird to imagine students in school wearing masks everyday. Don't get me wrong, I am all for it to keep them safe. I can hear parents now on the first day of school, 'Don't forget your lunch, your books, and your mask'. This is our 'new normal' (sorry, I hate that saying too, but I don't know what else to call it).

So enough about my non-parent thoughts, what do you think? Has the thought, or talk of home schooling came up in your house? How about any teachers reading this, are you willing to share your thoughts on heading back to the classroom? I am interested in hearing from all of you.
