Happy Birthday Guy Fieri! Remember When He Came To Lansing?
Happy birthday, Guy Fieri!
January 22nd is the big day for this big food star. This year, 2022, the Mayor of Flavortown turns 54.
To celebrate the chef who famously (or infamously, lol) wears flame-covered bowling shirts and sunglasses on the back of his spiky-haired head, we thought we'd reminisce about all the times he's come to Lansing.
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in Lansing, Michigan
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives made a stop through Lansing in October 2021, visiting Meat BBQ, Zaytoon Mediterranean, Eastside Fish Fry, and Joe's Gizzard City while they were here. The episodes that will feature those restaurants are supposed to air early this year. Also, keep in mind that that visit was not the first time that Triple D has come through Michigan's Capital City.
Fieri has made a few stops at different restaurants all over the greater Lansing area many times before. There was quite the buzz in the air when Fieri's Camaro was spotted covered up outside MEAT in Old Town back in August 2017. And it was so amazingly cool to see some Lansing favorites get some time in the national spotlight! Here's a list of the places Fieri has been to just in the Lansing area alone:
- Zaytoon Mediterranean Restaurant
- MEAT Southern Southern B.B.Q. & Carnivore Cuisine
- Eastside Fish Fry
- Capital City BBQ
- The Cosmos
- The Purple Carrot
- Joe's Gizzard City
- Webberville Brewery and Pub (now closed)
