As we are in the final stretch to Halloween, another big event is happening in East Lansing this weekend for you and the kids. This Sunday will be the Great Pumpkin Walk in East Lansing. It's going to be bigger this year with even more activities for the kids and parents to enjoy.

First off, all of the fun kicks off at 1 PM with magic tricks, juggling and more at the Top Hat Side Show Performance, which will be happening in Ann Street Plaza (corner of Albert and M.A.C. avenues). Then the Downtown Trick-or-Treating kicks off at 2 PM and goes until 4 PM, and parents are encouraged to bring their children to downtown in full costume to receive free door-to-door treats from more than 50 downtown merchants (look for the Great Pumpkin Walk flier on their storefront). In addition, during the downtown trick-or-treating, there will be Pumpkin Painting from 2-4 PM at Ann Street Plaza, William B. Sharp Park (corner of Albert Avenue and Abbot Road) and the pedestrian alley in the 500 block of Grand River Avenue.

Along with Great Pumpkin Walk events, there will be the “Land of Oz” at the Wild Goose Inn, this is happening from 2 PM to 4 PM, as the bed and breakfast will turn into the Land of Oz.

Finally, if your kids are looking to get even more candy, there is Safe Halloween taking place from 3 PM to 5 PM. This is when kids can get candy, play games and more from the MSU Frats and Sororities, and it will take place along M.A.C. Avenue, between Burcham Drive and Linden Street.
