Flint No Longer America’s Most Dangerous City
In the first six months of 2013, violent crime in the Vehicle City dropped 26% according to new stats released by the FBI. That decline was enough to move Flint into the #2 spot behind Oakland California.
According to the stats released Wednesday, Flint had 10.21 violent crimes per 1,000 people. Oakland had 10.27.
Still, two Michigan cities are in the country's Top 5 most dangerous, with Detroit at #3 on the list.
For several years, Flint had maintained the top spot on the FBI's list of most dangerous cities based on violent crime reports per capita.
