You should check your fridge before you get ready to enjoy any breakfast meal you may make with eggs.

ALERT: Major Egg Recall Hitting Michigan

Cargill Kitchen Solutions is recalling its liquid eggs after 212,268 pounds of it were distributed nationwide, with a possibility of contamination from a cleaning product inside the eggs.

The Department of Agricultures Food and Saftey Inspection Services, noted that there was the possibility of sodium hypochlorite inside of the liquid eggs distributed across the country.

No adverse health affects have been reported at this time.

The Recalled Product:

There are several different items that are currently being recalled. However, a few in particular were sold in 32-oz cartons with a "G1804" printed on them.

Here are the specifics:

 

  • Egg Beaters original liquid egg substitute (use by Aug 10, 2025)

  • Egg Beaters cage‑free original liquid egg substitute (use by Aug 09, 2025)

  • Egg Beaters cage‑free original frozen egg substitute and its Spanish‑labeled variant “no enjauladas original sustituto de huevo congelado” (use by Mar 07, 2026)

  • Bob Evans Better’n Eggs Made with Real Egg Whites (use by Aug 10, 2025)

What To Do If you Have The Product

If you have any of the above that has been recalled, you are urged to throw it away immediately or return it to your place of purchase for a full refund.
