Driver That Killed 18 Year Old Michigan Girl Visiting Times Square Apologizes, Says He Had Been Seeking Professional Help

Richard Rojas says the last thing he remembers is driving his car.  Then, he woke up in a New York City police precinct.  What happened in between was likely fueled by PCP-laced marijuana; Rojas plowed into a crowd of people on a New York City sidewalk, killing an 18 year old tourist from Michigan.

Rojas told the New York Post that he had been seeking professional psychiatric help recently.  Rojas, a former Navy soldier, also apologized to the victims and to his own mother.
