Coldplay may be gearing up to release their eighth album Everyday Life tomorrow (November 22); however, fans shouldn't get too excited to see the new material live any time soon.

During a recent chat with BBC News, the band's frontman Chris Martin announced that they are putting a pause on touring until they can figure out a way to make it more sustainable.

"We're not touring this album," he revealed. "We're taking time over the next year or two, to work out how our tour can not only be sustainable [but] how can it be actively beneficial."

"All of us have to work out the best way of doing our job," he continued, saying Coldplay want their future tours to "have a positive impact."

"Our dream is to have a show with no single-use plastic," he added, "to have it be largely solar-powered."

Though they might not be coming to a city near you in the foreseeable future, fans will still get a chance to hear Everyday Life live. The British rockers are holding two special release day shows in Ammen, Jordan — one at sunrise and one at sunset, to signify the two sides of their double-album. The performances can be streamed globally on YouTube.
