
Massive Butter Recall: Michigan and 11 States Affected
There is a major recall that is hitting nationally, but especially here in the state of Michigan, regarding a popular kitchen staple. Used in many recipes to cook food, to toast that you butter up every single morning before you and the kids leave for the next destination in your day.

The butter recall was initiated in the state of Michigan as a broader national alert.
Why the Butter Was Recalled
The butter being recalled is Bunge North America's European Style Butter Blend (1 lb). It's packaged in white paperboard cases with each holding 36 individually wrapped sticks.
The recall stems from the butter containing an undeclared allergen inside of the butter, which is milk. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) bumped the recall to a Class II level on July 30, 2025.

A Class II level is one that may lead to temporary or medically reversible health effects, though serious consequences are unlikely.

Around 64,800 pounds, nearly 1,800 cases, have been distributed across the United States, even reaching the Dominican Republic via 12 U.S. distribution centers.
If you have anyone inse of your household who has a milk allergy or sensitivity, you may want to discard the product immediately, or return it for a full refund.
