Michigan Reportedly Fires Brady Hoke After 4 Seasons

The University of Michigan is looking for a new head football coach.

U-M fired Brady Hoke on Tuesday following a 5-7 season, according to multiple media outlets. Hoke went 31-20 in four seasons at the helm for the Wolverines, never improving for a promising first campaign that resulted in an 11-2 record capped by a BCS bowl win.

Since that season, Michigan has compiled a paltry 20-18 record, including 12-13 over the past two seasons. Hoke went 16-4 in his first 20 games at U-M, but finished 15-16 over the last 31.

Hoke's record at Michigan versus Michigan State and Ohio State was a combined 2-6, (1-3 versus each). He went 2-2 versus Notre Dame, but U-M's record versus its three rivals on the road was 0-7 during Hoke's four seasons.

The Wolverines did not qualify for a bowl game this season, just the third time that's happened since 1975.

Michigan has reportedly called a 4:30 p.m. press conference to address the media, following a 3 p.m. team meeting.
