Basketball Hoops Taken Away at Jackson Park
This is due to social distancing guidelines that have been in place for the last few weeks across the state. The Jackson Mayor Derek Dobies reported, in his Facebook post, that the county has removed the basketball hoops and closed down the Cascade basketball courts in Lion's Park.
The City of Jackson and the Mayor have removed the basketball hoops due to people still playing on them after the stay-at-home order was made. After the game was reported to Mayor Dobies he alerted the county and says that he appreciates whoever reported the game as social distancing and staying at home is going to be the best and easiest way to save lives and low the disease.
