Ariana Grande has a lot to celebrate now that her latest studio album, thank u, next, has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

On Monday (July 1), after the RIAA announced Grande's record had become the first album of 2019 to go platinum, the singer penned a sweet tweet thanking the organization for the honor and thanking her fans for their support of her album.

"Holy s---," Grande began her tweet. "So incredibly grateful. Thank you so much listening and for loving something that was quite hard (but also [very] fun at times ) to make."

The artist also thanked her followers for "showing me that I’m not alone in the events that have caused me pain and that it’s okay to share and open up sometimes."

"I appreciate you all so much and am endlessly grateful for the consistent love and support you’ve shown me and this project," she concluded.

Grande's album has been awarded most by the RIAA in 2019 thus far. thank u, next is also the most streamed album on Spotify. In 2018, Grande became the most streamed artist worldwide with over 46 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform.
