Animals That Are On Michigan’s Endangered Species List

You may be more aware than some that there are quite a few endangered animals in the State of Michigan. Actually, you can find many of these animals on the Michigan State University Michigan Natural Features Inventory – MSU Extension website.

The website gives you a rather extensive look at animals that are not only Endangered but also Threatened and what are called Probably Extirpated, which basically means that they are extinct.

The list is worth a look especially if you find yourself outdoors because it gives you a lot of helpful information as to what animals are basically "hands off" and that are legally protected. Now some of these animals that are endangered are no-brainers (which means I would even know) but others might come as a surprise to you.
