We were a little surprised that Detroit made the Top 10. (Have you been to the Motor City lately?) We were also pleased to see that Flint ranked as high as it did on the list. We're kinda numb to the feeling of being near the top of various Top 10 lists, but this time it's a good thing. We'll take it.

In fact, the report indicates that Flint has surprisingly fewer occurrences of bad driving behaviors for a city its size. Burton gets high marks for a low percentage of traffic fatalities.

Here's a little more good news. Michigan's insured drivers also placed among the best in the country by an independent driving study because Michigan falls below the national average for traffic fatalities.
