Theft of Paintings During East Lansing Festival Leaves Artists Fuming

During the East Lansing Art Festival, thousands of dollars worth of paintings were lifted from at least three artists, according to an article in the Lansing State Journal.

One of the artists says the paintings stolen were her most high-profile pieces.  Does that mean the culprit(s) were after specific paintings?  Inside job?

Regardless, it's left artists fuming and authorities perplexed.  A meeting is planned between the East Lansing Police Department and the company contracted to handle security services during the festival.
