If you are a driver or looking for a ride, you're in luck as Uber and Lyft have both expanded into Jackson and all over Mid-Michigan. The ride-sharing companies as of Thursday are available to residents looking for a lift or looking to earn some income as a driver.

Uber and Lyft are apps on your phone or tablet that allows you as a rider or driver connect with other riders and driver to coordinate rides in minutes.

Along with starting their service in Jackson on Thursday, Uber also announced service to begin in Saginaw, Midland and Bay City on Thursday, too. Uber joins Lyft, another ride-sharing company that announced Feb. 23 it is expanding and offering services in Jackson, Kalamazoo, Flint, Midland and Saginaw, too.

Both Uber and Lyft are already in Lansing so this expansion helps to cover the Mid-Michigan area. To see more about the expansion check it out here.
