Raw Sewage Spill In Jackson Near Airport

An estimated 60,000 gallons of raw sewage was spilled near the Jackson County Airport near I-94. The spill happened on Sunday 3/20 around 5pm and was stopped on Tuesday night around 7:45pm.  

Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and Jackson County Health Department were notified and are now looking through the sewers near the spill today or tomorrow. Also, grease traps at restaurants and eateries near the spill are being inspected.
