With the snow today and the deep freeze coming later this week Lansing and Jackson are helping to keep everyone warm with warming centers open through Thursday. Not sure if these places below will be open today due to all of the snow in our area.

According to WILX, there are going to be two warming centers open in East Lansing. If you or your family need stay warm you can check out Hannah Community Center and East Lansing Public Library during there normal business hours to stay warm. They will be allowing people to stay there and keep warm as temperatures are expected to be below 0 for the high on Wednesday and Thursday.

Also down in Jackson there are several warming centers. All of the places will allow you in to stay warm and health centers will allow you in even if you aren't a patient. The warming places in Jackson are; St. Johns United Church of Christ (801 S. Mechanic Street), Jackson College (2111 Emmons Rd), LifeWays Community Mental Health, Napoleon Township Center  (6755 Brooklyn Road), and Jackson Recreational Department.
