Lions and Tigers and Beers, Oh My!
No, I didn't spell "bears" wrong, you read that correctly... beers. A chance for you to sip adult beverages and eat food all while taking a stroll through Potter Park Zoo, happens tonight! It's the LAST night of Potter Park Zoo's Zoo Brew Series 2015, and it all kicks off at 5:30 p.m.
If you go to Potter Park Zoo this evening, be prepared for a night of cold brews, yummy food, and great entertainment from Jazz singer Sunny Wilkinson. Plus, one of the coolest parts (I think), is that during the event, ALL of Potter Park Zoo is closed to anyone not attending the Zoo Brew... so it's almost like having the whole zoo to yourself for a private party!
Entrance to tonight's festivities will only cost you $5 and doors open at 5:30 p.m. (if you preregister as opposed to getting tickets at the door, you get entrance into the park early, at 5 p.m.). And you'll be helping out just by going, because events like tonight's Zoo Brew help to "raise essential funds to support the education and [the] conservation mission of Potter Park Zoo." So whether you're going for the beer, the music, or the animals, you''l be helping out a worthy cause.
If the reason you're headed to the Zoo Brew tonight is specifically because you love a good beer, be sure to mark November 7th on your calendar. The 2nd Annual Lansing On Tap beer festival is going down that day over at The Summit Sports & Ice Complex. With over 100 different craft beers to choose from, live entertainment, and food from Finley's Grill & Smokehouse... you know it's going to be an amazingly good time!
