John Engler is a former governor of Michigan and will be the President of Michigan State University until one is appointed. According to MLive, the MSU Board of Trustees is expected to make former Governor of Michigan John Engler its interim president. He will be named the interim president once a permanent replacement is picked.

The Board of Trustees are expected to meet on Wednesday to confirm him as the interim president.  John Engler, a Republican, served as Michigan governor from 1991-2003.
