While there are some people in Michigan who can't take the winter and hightail it down to Florida, the rest of us here appreciate the beauty winter brings to our state...in particular, the Upper Peninsula.

Sure, we don't especially like the cold temps that fall below zero, but sometimes it's worth it to be surrounded by the sights of a northern Michigan winter.

So, while the "old folks & faint-of-heart" are whining away in Florida - amidst the hurricanes, 'gators & pythons eating their pets, flooding, humidity, traffic jams and more - I hope the rest of you enjoy Michigan for what it is.
