The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from this afternoon into Tuesday morning for Ionia, Clinton, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Calhoun and Jackson Counties.

Expect the rain to arrive later on in the afternoon with heavy rainfall tonight that can cause flooding in low lying areas. Most of the Mid-Michigan area are expected to have 1-3 inches of rain by tomorrow.

The ground is wet already from this weekend's storm so if you have a drain on your property clear it, as well as check your sump pump. The NWS also are predicting rain on Wednesday but this weekend should be dry. You can see the predicted rain fall here from WILX
