The Listening Ear 5k/10k Trail Race

The 7th annual Listening Ear Trail 10k Race was developed for runners by runners and takes place along the scenic Lake Lansing North park trail. The trail is a stunning run along open fields, sheltered pine forests and raised boardwalks. It is rustic, rolling terrain that both challenges and inspires, and it is the only race of its kind in the Lansing area.

In 2010, we added a 5k Nature Run/Walk to give interested participants the opportunity to participate in a less rigorous course. Although the Nature Run/Walk was designed as a non-timed race, in 2013 we changed to a timed format to allow participants the chance to challenge themselves and potentially earn a medal.

This year, 2015 we will be adding a kid’s Fun Run Dash. This will be for kid’s who are thirteen years old or younger. Keep a sharp lookout for exhibits and events along the trail. Dogs on leashes and children accompanied by their parents are also welcome!
