Additional Information

Children of all ages are invited to the annual Teddy Bear Picnic, Saturday, September 13, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Michigan 4H Children’s Garden at Michigan State University.
Children are encouraged to bring a favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal for a check-up at the Teddy Bear Hospital, a mock clinic staffed by physicians and students from MSU’s health colleges. The annual event was created to help children overcome the fear of “going to the doctor” in a fun, safe environment.
Presented by Network for Health Kids, admission to the annual Teddy Bear Picnic is FREE for everyone. The fun-filled event includes a Teddy Bear Hospital, a picnic lunch, face painting, balloon animals, a visit from Sparty, finger painting and more.

The Network for Health Kids is a collaboration of more than 100 mid-Michigan community businesses and organizations, including the health colleges from Michigan State University, all working to promote healthy lifestyles for children.
The 2014 Teddy Bear Picnic is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Meijer, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, United Dairy Industry of Michigan and Michigan State University’s Health Team, Department of Kinesiology, College of Nursing and College of Human Medicine.
