Ele’s Place Expanding into Genesee County

Ele's Place, a healing center for grieving children and teens, has been serving people from all over Michigan from their Lansing and Ann Arbor campuses for years.  Now, they're moving into the Flint schools -- literally.

Ele's Place will set up a location to serve Beecher Middle and High School students exclusively, inside Beecher High School, beginning in the spring.  Beecher's Principal told WJRT-TV that of 161 students that took a recent survey, 75% had recently experienced a loss, and in many cases, it was a loss through violence.

Ele's Place hopes to expand by the fall, to serve more Flint-area families.
