Big Road Construction Happening in East Lansing

It is road construction season and the Michigan Department of Transportation started work this week on the I-69 Business Loop/Saginaw Highway in East Lansing. MDOT will be working to resurface the road as well as the sidewalks of the I-69 Business Loop from Coolidge Road to Hagadorn Road. If you are wondering why they are also fixing the sidewalks, that because they are working with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

There will be lane closures in both directions on I-69 BL from Coolidge to Hagadorn while work is being done. Also MDOT officials say that the work will be completed Mondays through Saturdays from 7am to 7pm with an estimation of their work being done on October 31st, 2018. So as you can see this is a large project so if you use that stretch of road make a note to give yourself some extra travel time and to be careful in that area.
