Youth: Y-PIF Scholarship Means $500 for Winner and $500 for Winner’s School
ePIFanyNow™ is excited to announce the third annual youth recognition initiative called The Y-PIF Award, which will honor kids in grades 5 – 8 and 9 – 12 who are passing kindness forward and making a positive contribution to their communities.
ePIFanyNow™, which holds annual “parties” to encourage people to go out into the community and commit random acts of kindness, is seeking young leaders who are using their time, talents and treasures to benefit and enhance the lives of others. We want to recognize and support these students who have taken initiative to make a difference in their communities.
Outstanding, charitable youth or nominators may get more details about the award and register online at www.epifanynow.org. Applications are due by April 10. A selection committee made up of members of the ePIFanyNow™ Board and celebrity judges will review all applications.
The top three submissions from each age category will be featured on the ePIFanyNow.org website on April 17, where the public can “vote” for their favorite. Each vote will cost $1 and will be collected via PayPal. Online voting will open Monday, April 17 and will close at 2 p.m. at the next ePIFanyNow™ annual party on Sunday, May 7, 2017. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the MSU Federal Credit Union main headquarters (3777 West Road in East Lansing). All monies raised during the voting will be given to the applicant’s chosen charity.
The winner in each category will receive $500 from ePIFanyNow™, which will go to either a pre- approved charity of the winner’s choice or the winner’s in-kind project for further development. All charities and projects will be vetted by members of the ePIFanyNow™ Board and selection committee during the review process.
For finalists who are not selected as one of the Y-PIF Award winners, all monies raised through the online voting process will still be awarded to the charities noted in those participants’ applications.
More information, including previous award winners, can be found at www.epifanynow.org. For questions, please contact ePIFanyNowTM at ePIFnowpif@gmail.com.
