Bath Township Police responded to a Thursday night carjacking that took place in the parking lot of the Bath Township Meijer, a post on the department's Facebook page reveals.  The post says the vehicle and suspect were later located in Flint.  The suspect tried to escape on foot but was apprehended.  He is described as a 24 year old male from Flint.  The suspect is now lodged at the Clinton County Jail.

The post says the suspect approached the victim, showed a handgun and demanded her car keys, purse and cell phone.  The victim ran into the store and called 911.

The investigation is ongoing and Bath Township Police Department was assisted by Clinton County Dispatch, Michigan State Police and the Genesee County Sheriffs Department.
