The forecast keeps getting worse for the trick-or-treaters tonight. First, it looks like the Lansing area is going to see rain throughout the day and then tonight we'll see some snow mixed in with the rain. However, the forecast for Halloween night now also includes a High Wind Advisory. The National Weather Service has issued WIND ADVISORY that goes into effect from 5 pm this afternoon until 11 pm tonight. We could see (or feel) winds gusting over 45 mph tonight. With wind gusts that strong, that means we could also see some power outages and the NWS also says to be cautious of "Halloween decorations blowing around".

But...there is some good news. (Sort of.) At least we're not under a Winter Weather Advisory. There are some areas in Michigan that are under a Winter Weather Advisory later today and could see snow that is expected to "become heavy enough to accumulate on roads today and into this evening".
