The Whiskey Barrel Saloon closed its doors in September after over 10 years in Lansing, but it didn't take long for someone to buy it up. That's what has happened just recently as a Detroit restaurateur has bought the property and will change it up over the next few months.

Jacques Driscoll, owner of Green Dot Stables in Detroit, bought the bar on Thursday and Whiskey Barrel will become Green Dot Stables in summer 2017. In addition, Jacques is a graduate of Michigan State

Green Dot Stables has 20 sliders on its à la carte menu. They include pork belly schnitzel, catfish, quinoa, tofu, PB&J, and more. Most of their sliders are $3 as well as craft beers. The Lansing State Journal has the full story and more on their menu as well as other additions.
