During Valentines Day you always see those candy hearts, and during Halloween you always see Necco Wafers, well in the future you may not be seeing them anymore.

According to NBC News, the owner of the company behind chalky, colorful sweets like Necco Wafers and Sweethearts has unexpectedly shut down operations at its Massachusetts plant and hasn't said if candy production will resume. The company recently went through a bankruptcy as well as being bought out so the closing may be a cause of that. Also Necco or New England Confectionery Co., is the country's oldest non-stop operating candy company.

I'm not a fan of the Necco Wafers, actually I loathe them, but its sad that this plant is closing down and you may never see these sweets again. The company hasn't said if they are going to re-open soon or not. More on it here.
