The Senate finally came to a decision earlier today on the stimulus package, but when are you going to receive money? The stimulus package was a bill that needed to pass as the COVID-19 virus and Stay-at-Home order might go on for a few weeks and people need relief. The Stimulus package will be helping hospitals get much needed supplies to fend off the virus and it will also help to pay people who have lost their jobs.

If you have lost your job or haven't, this stimulus package will help with a one time payment, but when will you be getting paid. It looks like it's going to be a while though as according to WILX, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has said they hope to start issuing checks within three weeks, with the remainder of the checks to be mailed by the end of May. Some other estimates have been a start of April 6th for the first batch of checks and May 18th for the second batch.

The package provides one-time payments of $1,200 per adult and $500 per child under the age of 17. Married couples will receive $2,400. The checks will go down if you make more than $75,000 or couples making over $198,000. More about it here.
