When Adreian Met Lacey

When Lacey Holsworth passed away this week at the tender age of 8 years old, like everyone else, I was saddened. I have a son who is 9, and cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like for her family and friends to experience a loss so tragic.

But to be honest, that's all I really knew: That she had succumbed to cancer and had been a big Michigan State basketball fan. I'd heard a little about her friendship with Adreian Payne and thought he must be a pretty OK guy for being supportive for a young fan.

Until yesterday, when I came across an article I just had to share with you.

It delves more into Adreian's early life and tells of how he and Lacey came to meet. He truly is an exceptional young man who gave this little girl hope and love when she was going through things no child should ever have to endure.
