These are things that you do without noticing while you awaiting news or a decision, but what can you do to stop it? That was what I asked you on Thursday for my "Topic of the day" and even though most of the people who called said they tried to stop their habit, it is hard to stop when you don't realize you are doing it.

My biggest nervous habit is that I bite my nails. I might be doing this now as I read it over, and it is something that I have stopped doing periodically over the years but I somehow go back to it. I'm not alone as there were several people who called in with the same habit, so take a listen below and after that I'll give you some tips on how to stop yourself from continuing the habit.

Now that you heard about some nervous habits and how some stopped doing them, there are actually a few ways to quit a nervous habit. First, you have to recognize your bad habit. Once you do that you will be able to find ways on how to stop your habit from happening and it will be easier to know what your triggers might be. Next, you have to figure out how you want to quit the habit. This means finding out if you want to quit cold turkey or if you need other distractions or help to quit. Third, find those aids or tricks to help you quit.  You can see more tips on how to identify your habit and quit it here.
