Watch Zeeland Christian School’s Funny AF “Mask, Mask, Baby” Video on Who Has to Wear a Mask
Back to school season is here and things are very different this year due to the pandemic. School districts across the country are releasing their plans on what students and parents can expect when going back which includes rules on masks. But why read a boring handbook when you can watch a hilarious video instead?
Zeeland Christian School knocked it out of the park with this parody to Vanilla Ice's 1990 hit song "Ice Ice Baby." Except they turned it into "Mask, Mask, Baby" so families know when masks are required at school.
The man singing goes by "Corona Ice" (very clever) and he's sporting a 90's outfit (and some dope Jordan's) while walking, singing, and dancing around the school with cameos from ZCS teachers. According to this video, those required to wear masks include: teachers, staff, and middle schoolers (6th to 8th grade). Those who do not have to wear one: Young Fives and 1st to 5th graders. However, all students must wear a mask when they are at recess or in common areas.
Zeeland Christian School will begin the school year on August 25th and everyone will be back in the building five days a week. You can see their FAQ page for a full rundown on what to expect, including who has to wear a face covering and when. Their full return to school plan can be found here. ZCS is a Threeschool to 8th grade school system with over 1,000 students.
A couple weeks ago, a principal in Alabama received praise from MC Hammer after his COVID-19 "U Can't Touch This" parody video went viral. I'm hoping "Mask, Mask, Baby" gets the attention of Vanilla Ice because not only is it hella funny, but it's fresh... it's fly... and whatever other 90's lingo you want to insert here ;-)
