Aspiring rapper KayO Redd, the younger, dreadlocked brother of rhyme spitter Waka Flocka Flame, has died. Redd passed away Sunday night (Dec. 29) in Atlanta.

His death was confirmed by his mother Debra Antney, who has forged a successful career as a manager of hip-hop artists. Her Twitter bio states that she has factored into the careers of Nicki Minaj and Waka Flocka Flame.

Her tweet is below. It's simple in its tragedy.

Access Atlanta reports that Waka Flocka Flame tweeted to suggest that his little bro's death was a suicide, but that posting has since been deleted.

TMZ reports that the authorities investigating the death believe it was indeed a suicide, since Redd died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy is being conducted.

He tweeted another message of love to his brother, complete with a short video montage tribute.

This is not the first time the rapper has lost a sibling. Another brother died in a car accident. Our hearts go out to Waka Flocka Flame and his mother over their loss.
