Yes that is what I thought too according to some analysis from the GasBuddy App. It said that gas prices here in Michigan were going to go down to under $1 and they have done the opposite as prices in Lansing now average $1.71. So what happened why didn't prices go down?

Well according to Patrick Dahaan of GasBuddy (https://blog.gasbuddy.com/) on his blog its cause the price of an oil barrel has gone up in the last week and it saw a spike in a prices around here. The prices in Lansing went up from $1.41 late last week to 30 cents more this week.

Hopefully we will see the prices stay around a dollar and half but we can usually expect an increase as the temps get warmer.
