Animals are the best. Am I right or am I right? I've never understood how someone can say "I'm not an animal person." HOW? How are you not? They're always there when you need them and they're always happy to see you. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Before I got into radio, I started in the veterinary field and I've been in and out for about eight years now. Here's some things animals have taught me over the years.

Unconditional Love

A little love and affection can cure anything. After a long day, there's nothing better than coming home and hearing little paws running down the hallway to greet you. I don't know about you, but whenever I have a bad day, I can't wait to come home and cuddle my fur babies. They pour out unconditional love that's sure to put a smile on your face. So, next time you run into someone who's a little more grumpy then usual, show a little love. They might need it.

Down Time

Make time to relax! We're always on the go and we often forget to take a step back and chill. Animals have no problem finding the time to sneak some shut eye in. Maybe we can't quit our day jobs and lie around all day long like they do, but it is important to slow down and get some rest. You're allowed to do sit around on your couch and binge watch your favorite show on Netflix every now and then.

Practice Forgiveness

Unfortunately, we've all seen some sort of animal abuse video before. It's truly amazing that with some TLC these animals are able to give someone another chance. Animals don't hold a grudge and neither should you. They teach us that even if we can’t always understand the other person’s actions, we should still forgive them.
